TVS iQube : Know The Specifications, Performance, Price & Features

Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has launched its first electric scooter TVS iQube in India. TVS is the second Indian company after Bajaj to launch its Electric Scooter in the Indian market.

TVS will produce 1000 units of its new scooter iQube every month and is expected to sell around 100 units in the first few days. Customers can book TVS iQube for Rs 5,000 on the company's website or at select dealerships. It will be sold first in Bangalore. After which it will also be sold in other cities of the country.

At the scooter's launch event, TVS Motor Chairman Venu Srinivasan said that TVS Motor serves to all the innovation to customers. The company's focus is on the 'green and connected' youth of the country. We have included these in TVS Electric's portfolio. The TVS iQube Electric Advanced Drivetrain and Next Generation are built on the TVS SmartExconnect platform.

The company was working on TVS iQube since 2018. TVS launched the prototype of iQube 2 years ago at Auto Expo 2018. The company has now launched the production version of the scooter. That is, there will be no significant difference between this scooter and the product being delivered.

Battery & Performance

The TVS iQube offers a 4.4kW electric motor. The maximum speed of this scooter is 78km / h. This scooter accelerates from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in 4.2 seconds. According to the company, on a single charge, this scooter can cover a distance of 75 km.

This scooter offers two riding modes Economy and Power mode. This allows the user to adjust the power output. Also, the rider can optimize the range. It takes 5 hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent.


The on-road price of TVS iQube is Rs 1.15 lakh. This is the on-road price of this scooter in Bangalore.


The TVS is equipped with the iQube electric SmartConnect platform. It comes with the TFT cluster and TVS iQube app. It comes with many features like Geo-Fencing, Remote Battery Charge Status, Navigation Assist, Last Park Location, Incoming Call Alert / SMS Alert, Smart Ride Statistics, Range indication, Over-speed alert, Q-Park Assist, Regenerative braking system.


In India, TVS iQube will compete with electric scooters like Bajaj Chetak Electric and Bending Aura. Chetak Electric Scooter has been launched in two variants. The Urbane variant costs Rs 1 lakh. The Premium variant is priced at Rs 1.15 lakh.

The company claims that after full charging, it will cover a distance of up to 95 km in Eco mode. At the same time, in Sport mode, this scooter will give a range of 85 km. The Bending Aura can travel 120KM on a single charge. Aura's maximum speed is 60 km / h.
