The country's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, has launched the new Dominar 250 in India under its Dominar brand. This bike had been waiting for a long time in India. The design of the bike is similar to the existing Dominar 400 but has made some minor changes to it. Let us know what is special and new in the new Dominar 250.


The new Dominar 250 gets performance BS6, liquid-cooled 248.8 cc DOHC engine. This engine gives power of 27 PS and torque of 23.5 Nm. In just 10.5 seconds, this bike catches the speed of 0 to 100 kmph.

Its top speed is 132 kmph. Fuel injection technology is used for better mileage and performance in the bike. The engine will be equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.


Talking about the design, apart from some minor changes, the look of the Dominar 250 is similar to that of the Dominar 400. Its instrument console is the previous-generation Dominar 400.

The 17-inch alloy wheels given in the bike have the same design, but the Dominar 250 has the wheels in a full matte-black finish, while the Dominar 400 gets a dual-tone finish on the wheels.

In case of the Dominar 250 size, the Dominar is similar to the 400. The length of both the bikes is 2156 mm, width 836 mm, height 1112 mm and ground clearance 157 mm.

Like the Dominar 400, the Fuel Tank Capacity of the Dominar 250 is also 13-liters. However, the weight of both the bikes is different. The Dominar 250 weighs 180 kg, while the Dominar 400 weighs 184 kg.


300 mm disc brakes have been given in the front of the bike and 230 mm in the rear. The bike gets monoshock suspension. The bike has an anti-lock braking system. Talking about the suspension of the small Dominar, the upside-down fork is provided in the front and the mono-shock in the rear.


Bajaj Auto has priced the new Dominar 250 at Rs 1.60 lakh. Only one variant has been launched in this bike. The company has given Canyon Red and Vine Black color options.

Talking about the features, the bike has AHO (Automatic Headlamp On), twin channel ABS, slipper clutch, and beam type perimeter frame with full LED headlamps. Apart from this, new graphics have now been used in this bike. Apart from this, there is also a twin barrel exhaust.

This bike is specially designed keeping in mind the people who like to tour. Both the tires of this bike are 17 inches and both the tires come with the feature of disc brakes, which helps in giving better braking experience.

The company hopes that the new Dominar 250 with a smaller engine will be well liked. The Dominar 400 is currently priced at Rs 1.90 lakh. Bajaj Dominar 250 will compete in the Indian market with the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 launched a few days ago.
