AUTO NEWS - Yamaha Registers FZ-X Name For Trademark In Indian Market

It is clear from the trademark name that Yamaha is going to add a new two-wheel vehicle called FZ-X to the FZ family in India. Know which bike can be?

Yamaha Motor Company has recently registered a trademark for India under the name FZ-X. According to the listing of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the patent design and trademark website of the industry, the name has been marked as advertised before acceptance, which means that this application can be advertised in the Registrar's Trademark Journal before acceptance. In this situation, others have a chance to raise objections to this name within 4 months from the date of advertisement by Trademark Journal. According to this filing, Yamaha India has trademarked the name on 5 November 2020.

The trademark of this name makes it clear that Yamaha is going to add a new two-wheel vehicle called FZ-X to the FZ family in India. At present, it is not known whether a new motorcycle will be launched under this name or a new variant of the current XZ motorcycle will be introduced - FZ, FZS, FZ 25 and FZS 25. It is rumored that Yamaha India is working on an adventure tourer motorcycle that will likely be built on the FZ 25 platform.

Entry-level adventure motorcycles are in the market and with Hero X Pulse 200, KTM 250 Adventure, BMW 310 GS and Royal Enfield Himalayan being sold in India, it seems that the company may launch a new adventure motorcycle. The Yamaha FZ 25 Range is a 249cc air-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine with BS6 standards. This engine is of 20.5 bhp power and 20.1 Nm peak torque capacity, which is given a 5-speed gearbox.
