Tata Motors has introduced the new Ultra T.7 Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) which is specially designed for urban transport. The company claims that it is the most advanced light commercial vehicle developed by Tata Motors and its cabin has been engineered to provide great comfort with dimensions of 1900 mm wide. Tata says that a shorter turnaround time will ensure higher earnings for truck owners and increase their profits.

The Ultra T.7 range is built on a modular platform and it comes in 4-tire and 6-tire variants. A stronger modular chassis helps provide better durability, while radial tubeless tires help achieve better mileage. The Ultra T.7 runs on a 2956 cc engine that produces 99 bhp at 2,800 rpm and 300 Nm of torque from 1,200 to 2,200 rpm. The motor gets a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Ultra T.7 comes with a total vehicle weight (GVW) of 7,300 kg.

The company says that the Ultra T.7 is equipped with a crash-tested cabin and powerful air-brakes for enhanced safety. Apart from this, the cabin also gets adjustable seats, tilt and telescopic functions along with power steering and a dash-mounted gear shifter. The Tata Ultra T.7 also claims to support lower NVH levels and tedious driving. Apart from this, the vehicle has music system, USB fast charging port and many storage spaces. Along with this, Tata Motors' connected vehicle solution, Fleet Edge is also available.
