The Kawasaki Versys 1000 gets a modest price increase, but despite being a new model year bike, the 2021 Versys 1000 has not received any significant changes.

Kawasaki India has introduced the 2021 Versys 1000 and its price is ₹ 11.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the slight price increase and the 2021 model year tag, the Versace 1000 has not received any cosmetic, mechanical, or feature updates. Globally, the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE gets electronic skyhook suspension, but the model for India does not. Instrumentation is analog and digital with an analog tachometer and digital LCD screen. The Versace 1000 features a Kawasaki Cornering Management function equipped with standard ABS, traction control, and an Inert Measurement Unit (IMU) to monitor the parameters of the chassis and engine when leaning on one corner of the bike.

The bike is powered by the same 1,043 ccs, inline 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 118 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 102 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The bike runs on a 17-inch alloy wheel and has a 150 mm ground clearance. The 2021 Kawasaki Versys 1000 has a 43mm inverted fork with rebound damping with 150mm suspension travel and spring preload adjustment. At the rear is a mono-shock equipped with a 152 mm travel remote spring preload adjustment.

Braking is controlled by four-piston calipers, with 310 mm petal twin discs on the front wheel, while a 250 mm disc with a single-piston caliper at the rear. The Kawasaki Versys 1000 weighs 255 kg and has an adjustable windscreen for touring capability with twin LED headlamps.
