All-New Tata Safari Unveiled In India

Tata Motors has finally shown the new Safari and it will be the most expensive car of the company. The Safari is a 6 or 7 seater model of Harrier. Last year at the Auto Expo, we saw the car under the name Gravitas and it was shown as Tata Buzzard for the first time at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The new Tata Safari is based on the Optional Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture Platform from the D8 of Land Rover, which also has a Harrier.

Like the Tata Harrier, Safari also showcases the company's new IMPACT 2.0 design language. The SUV gets a new grille with a tri-arrow theme design. It is 70 mm longer than the Harrier, while its width and wheelbase have not changed. Vivek Srivatsa, marketing head of Tata Motors, said, "We are confident that Safari will open a new segment over Harrier. Harrier is growing significantly in the market right now and we are confident that Safari will also have strong sales."

The cabin gets a new dual-tone black and ivory scheme while the three-spoke steering wheel and 8.8-inch floating infotainment system are similar to the Harrier. The screen runs with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and is also equipped with IRA connected car technology with voice recognition. Apart from this, you will also find a 7-inch instrument panel, premium oak brown leather seat upholstery, nine-speakers' JBL sound system, electric parking brake, and sunroof in the car.

The new Tata Safari gets a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine from Harrier that makes 168 bhp and 350 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, as well as an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox. As far as safety features are concerned, the car features 6 airbags, an antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat, rear parking sensor, traction control, and hill hold control. Will be equipped.
