Ashok Leyland has recently delivered a consignment of light bulletproof vehicles to the Indian Air Force. The company has stated that all the vehicles delivered to the Air Force have been specially designed keeping in mind the use of the Indian Air Force. Let us know that Ashok Leyland is the flagship company of Hinduja Group and also manufactures defense equipment along with light and heavy commercial vehicles in India.

Ashok Leyland states that these lightweight bulletproof vehicles are an adopted version of Lockheed Martin's Common Vehicle Next Generation (CVNG). The technology of these vehicles is derived from Lockheed Martin under Technology Transfer. The company has stated that these vehicles are completely indigenous and have been developed in India.

Ashok Leyland Managing Director and CEO Vipin Sondhi said, 'It is a matter of pride for us to supply to the armed forces. These vehicles are another example of our team's ability combined with a strong sense of understanding required in difficult situations. He also said that he is grateful to be a reliable partner of the Indian Armed Forces and wishes to make India more self-reliant in such defense equipment and vehicles.

These bulletproof vehicles come with high off road capability. They can be easily carried in areas such as soil, sand, rocks as well as shallow water. These vehicles can carry a crew of 6 people, along with enough space to carry equipment for the mission. This vehicle is very important for the army, which proves very helpful in overcoming the situations.
