2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Launched in India

Mercedes-Benz has launched the new generation S-Class in India with a starting price of Rs.2.17 crores. The 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of 15 vehicles to be launched in the same country in the country and the new S-Class from Mercedes-Benz also offers a separate service package priced at Rs.82,900. The 2021 S-Class has grown by 12 mm in height by being 34 mm longer and 51 mm wider. Its wheelbase has also been increased by 50 mm. The company has given a great look to the new luxury sedan with a new design. The new generation model has been completely revamped which comes with very modern technology and many features that are being offered for the first time in the industry.

The slim-sized LED headlamps on the front of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class look stylish and the 3-slat chrome grille is visible but looks pretty good on the overall look of the car. The rear part of the car gets LED taillamps which are wider than the previous model and come in a different style. The cabin of the new generation S-Class gets four touchscreen displays including a sizable 12.8-inch central console. The 27 buttons on the interior have been replaced by touch-sensitive controls, while the seats and headrests will be ventilated with heating and cooling functions. Apart from this, the latest MBUX connected technology has also been given to the car.

The new generation S-Class from Mercedes-Benz is the first car in the world to come with rear ride airbags in case of a front-to-back collision. The car comes with a number of new active and passive safety features including radar-based sensors that detect side-to-side collisions and e-mail the driver or passenger on the opposite side from where the collision is likely to occur. With the help of active controls suspension push in the middle. The new S-Class is being manufactured at Mercedes' Germany-based Factory 56, which is known to be the most modern plant in the world. This is the first car that is being produced in this plant.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S500 will be powered by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system engine mated to a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder engine and an electric motor with an EQ boost setup. This engine makes 362 Bhp power and 500 Nm peak torque for the S450, while 429 Bhp power and 520 Nm peak torque for the S500. There is also a twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that powers the S580 and makes 469 Bhp. With the diesel customers, the company has brought the new S 350d which is powered by a 3.0-litre engine that makes 282 Bhp power and 600 Nm peak torque. The company has equipped all engine options with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
