Back in 2020, Elon Musk had revealed during the company’s Battery Day that one of these vehicles might take the form of a hatchback with a price tag of $25,000, as reported by reliable sources.
Musk Says On Tesla’s Two New Budget Cars
During a conference held in Austin, Texas, Elon Musk expressed his strong emphasis on the fact that his company is actively engaged in the development of a new product. He reiterated this point by stating, “Actually building a new product” to underscore the significance of their ongoing efforts.
Elon Musk further highlighted that both the product design and manufacturing techniques employed by Tesla surpass anything else currently present in the industry. This statement reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and quality.
It is worth noting that Tesla had previously provided glimpses of two new models during its Investor Day in March, generating anticipation among enthusiasts and investors alike.

According to Musk, the combined production of these two models is expected to exceed 5 million units annually, showcasing Tesla’s ambitious manufacturing goals.
During the meeting, Tesla’s board explicitly stated that there is currently no established succession plan for Elon Musk. Additionally, Musk himself has firmly expressed his intention to retain his position as CEO of Tesla, with no immediate plans of stepping down. This reiterates his commitment to leading the company and driving its future growth.
Elon Musk emphasized the significance of Tesla‘s involvement in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), stating that he personally wants to oversee its progress to ensure its ethical and beneficial implementation.
